Same-day GP referral letter, required to access private specialist care.
Availability: UK and International
If you have a health condition that is causing concern, or if your symptoms require further investigation, you may need a GP referral letter to access private specialist care. Whether it's a persistent issue like chronic pain, unexplained symptoms, or a more complex condition requiring an expert opinion, a referral letter is often the first step in getting the specialised attention you need.
Our doctors can provide you with a same-day GP referral letter that will confirm your medical condition, symptoms, and the reason specialist care is recommended. This referral could be for a range of specialties, including cardiology, dermatology, neurology, gastroenterology, or orthopedics, among others. Whether you're seeking a second opinion, specialist diagnostic tests such as MRI or blood work, or planning to consult a surgeon, a detailed GP referral is essential.
No appointment is needed – simply apply online. Once you’ve submitted your information, one of our doctors will review your case and provide you with a referral letter that can be used to book your specialist appointment. This process is designed to be quick and convenient, allowing you to avoid lengthy waits and access the care you need, sooner.
You will receive a verifiable digital PDF letter signed by a medical professional and sent directly to your mobile, containing the following details:
Your medical condition and when symptoms started.
How the condition affects you and what you are concerned about.
The private specialist you need to see and how soon you need to be seen.
Signature and authorisation by one of our GMC-registered UK doctors.
Contact details of ZoomDoc Health with a QR code enabling a verification check.
Experienced UK GMC-Registered doctors – caring, supportive, and dedicated to providing exceptional care.
Upload by 9pm for same-day service. This should be a 30 second – 1 minute video explaining your symptoms, condition and why you require a referral.
Our doctors will look over the evidence you provide.
You’ll receive an email with your letter, with a QR code so they can be verified and accepted worldwide.
To allow us to assess your condition and issue a medical letter, we will require the following information:
A photo of your passport or driving license
Your medical condition and symptoms
Confirmation of when your condition started
A 30-second to 1-minute video explaining the reason for referral
Which specialist or speciality you would like to see (we can choose this for you)
This referral service is not for emergency situations or any condition that requires immediate review by a doctor.
